An Invitation To Tour Bastakiya
On behalf of Crown Relocations, welcome to Dubai. For those of you returning to these shores, welcome back. We would be delighted if you and a partner/friend would join us for a traditional coffee and breakfast on the Creek where this wonderful city began.
The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding is a non-profit organisation established to increase awareness and understanding between the various cultures that live in Dubai.
Operating under the banner ‘Open Doors, Open Minds’ the SMCCU strives to remove barriers between people of different nationalities and raise awareness of the local culture, customs and religion of the UAE.
Bastakiya Heritage Tour from 10 to 11 am
This tour includes a walk through Bastakiya and a visit to the Bastakiya Mosque. Guests then return to the SMCCU house for a cultural discovery Q&A session and a traditional breakfast.
Cultural Lunch/Breakfast from 11 am to 12:30 PM
Situated in a traditional wind tower house, guests have the opportunity to experience traditional homemade Emirati food in the ambiance of the SMCCU’s courtyard whilst being treated to a cultural presentation by one of our trained members of staff. Participants are encouraged to ask any questions that they may have relating to Emirati religion, culture and traditions.
